Store text highlights quiet lagoons with gentle shallows—interior water partially shielded from open ocean fetch. Compared to Barrier Beach, lagoon shores should feature calmer interior pools and slower erosion against landward walls, while outer rims still see surf.

Building implications

Lagoon layouts likely reward:

• Interior platforms for decoration (Shore Treasures)
• Canals between spits instead of one seaward moat (Carve Moats)
• Lower buttresses on outer rims only (Build Strong Walls)

Physics should still obey Sand Physics and Moisture and Stability—only geometry changes.

Tide and erosion outlook
